I joined The Wealthy Affiliate University back in February 2010 but trust me, I now know I should have joined months before. It actually took me months of debating if it could benefit me, or worse, was it a scam.

I'm a very suspicious person, especially when it comes to the Internet and so we all should be, so when I came across this site, and started to research it, I could find nothing but good reviews. This page is a straight view and honest opinion for anybody interested in learning how to be and Internet Marketer or a total beginner looking for a step in the right direction.  You May also chck out my blog at The Internet Marketing Cauldron.             

Why?

That is the question, Why did I join? Well I'll give you my quick background. I'm a chef of 17 years, and still only 32 years young, and since work has dried up, I look at this as an opportunity to change my career, and take a bold step and learn something new. Lifes too short for one career.

Now, I've been writing poetry years, so I really wanted to do something with writing, as I have been, and one day stumbled upon Hub-Pages, a free semi- social network where you write articles, either for fun, or to make some money, so I really liked the thought of what could be a possibility of writing online, making money too and possibly working from home, for good yay!.

But, I could see, There was a lot I had to learn, and was very eager too, and one day came across The Wealthy Affiliate University Programme. And like most things you come across, you always think, especially when they are advertising "Make Money On Line" you straight away think, SCAM!

And I think the reason for this is, the Internet is full of scams, or " Super Gurus" who will make you a million quickly, and only ask for a one time fee, or also, way too many e-books out there, you purchase, and when your finished, you still don't know where to begin, trust me, I've foolishly bought four.

Who Exactly Is This For.

So Just What Is This Wealthy Affiliate?

 Well basically, Wealthy Affiliate came about in 2005 and was launched by two 26 year old guys, Kyle and Carson, who got in to Internet marketing in 2003, and like myself, had no experience. So after learning the trade from scratch and becoming successful, they built this online university to teach people how to do and become as successful as they have.

So, basically, Wealthy Affiliate is a huge, online course, that doesn't tell you fairy stories of promises to make you rich overnight, but helps guide you and teach you the fundamental basics of Internet Marketing, and the information inside is huge.

And What Exactly Is Inside?

In all honesty, the amount of vast information inside is astounding. When you start it is so overwhelming, and because you are new, you think, oh my! what have I got myself in too? and panic a little. But, like starting any new trade or career, as I was when I started cheffing, this is the exact first emotion you feel, been overwhelmed, but once you relax, take your time, it slowly begins to sink in.

Now once you have joined up, you have taking the first big step, and are eager to start. And for this eagerness, especially for newbies, these guys have set up a twelve week plan, which starts you right from the start, a 12 week training course to get you on the right track, and make sure you learn correctly, excellent for a total newbie, and even on your first week you can learn to start making money straight away, great stuff.

There is with anything worth while a bit of work to put in, but all you have to do is look at the people making from $100 a day to $1000 a day or more for motivation.

If you are like me, looking for a new challenge and career, to give yourself a goal and to be working from at home permanently, want to learn from the best in the business, not afraid to put in some work, then I suggest you join this vast marketing community and be on the road to a new career and success.

The Pros

The Cons

- The Fee. Yes you have to pay a membership fee of either, 97 dollars a month, or a yearly fee of 360 dollars. Think about that, a lot of information and training, absolutely for nothing.  

- The Information. Yes, and by this, I mean, there is so much at first you can panic, but deep breath and soon you will see how beneficial it all is.
- The Work. If you are not willing to learn, or put in some work, then this community is not for you.

My Conclusion!

It took me a while before I joined The Wealthy Affiliate Programme, before I decided what I wanted to do for my new career, and I joined by the monthly membership, as I say, I was still a bit dubious, but now know it has been the best move I have done in a long time, and I plan been apart and very successful here in this community, and I have given myself a 2 year goal to be totally working from at home, or travelling, sounds long, but hey, so does 17 years of been a chef.

If you are interested in becoming an Internet marketer, or already one but need more guidance and better tools, this place is where it is at, and the hardest step is, the first.
